Multikino in cooperation with Animade introduces a brand new and innovative form of 3D advertisement which can be viewed in 3D without the need of special glasses. 3D kiosks using the 42” Landscape 3D Displays are already placed on selected Multikino cinema halls. Various types of 3D content will be presented on those monitors. The 3D Digital Signage Network was launched on July 9th, 2010 - the D-date of the cult 3D Shrek premiere in Poland.
Animade decided to utilize auto stereoscopic 3D displays developed and patented by the German company Tridelity Display Solution GmbH – a leading manufacturer of auto stereoscopic 3D displays. Tridelity provides the best auto stereoscopic solution currently available on the market, allowing the viewing of 3D effects by large audiences without any special 3D glasses.
The cable TV company “New generation television – N” is one of the first clients using this new advertising vehicle in Multikino and will present 3D commercials promoting their new product.
3D without special glasses in Poland
3D Digital Signage will attract many more observers due to the fact that no glasses have to be used in order to view the videos. Michael Russo, CEO Tridelity GmbH says: „Tridelity 3D Multi-Viewer displays catch the attention of at least four times more viewers compared to traditional 2D Digital Signage”. It has been said a lot recently about 3D HDTV monitors, however it is not possible to use them in advertising, because they require the usage of special glasses. „It is hard to imagine that passersby would stop and put on special glasses just to watch 3D commercials. „It is practicable impossible.” – says Wawrzyniec Walczak from Animade - „Modern 3D monitors without glasses solve this problem and offer 3D effects and images to many viewers at the same time, revolutionizing the market of Digital Signage”.
Solutions allowing to present 3D commercials without special glasses give unique opportunity and possibilities to clients. 3D commercials developed in this technology are extremely strong “eye-catchers”, grabbing the attention of viewers, due to impressive „pop-out” effects of elements jumping out of the screen.
St. Georgen, May 31st, 2010 Tridelity Display Solutions GmbH, a leading producer of autostereoscopic 3D displays (without glasses) is the first company in the world to launch 3D-Multi-View displays in portrait mode. By means of this new technology, which has been developed and patented by Tridelity, it is now also possible to display portrait 3D content for several users at the same time without the need for 3D glasses. Moreover, Tridelity offers a number of autostereoscopic Multi-View displays in landscape orientation. “Due to the innovative displaying of 3D content in portrait mode Tridelity was able to increase the number of applications for autostereoscopic 3D displays considerably and thus hone their technological edge in this industry” says CEO Michael Russo.
Particularly in the field of Digital Signage this new technology provides entirely new application possibilities, e.g. in shops, shopping malls, fair trades or public spaces. The portrait mode is similar to the common format of advertisements, and hence enables a simple and quick change to 3D technology in all advertising areas. For the presentation of people and fashion the portrait mode offers considerable advantages. Due to the impressive pop-out effect, which can also be seen by passers-by due to the Multi-View technology the monitors have a high eye-catcher potential: “Our experience shows that with our 3D displays advertising companies achieve a stopping power which is four times higher than with common 2D displays”, explains Russo. The new monitors are offered in diagonal sizes of 55” and 65”.
The market for Digital Signage increases rapidly with an estimated turnover of several billions in 2015. “In five years, the share of 3D displays in the Digital Signage market will already exceed 10%“, says Russo. For this development the autostereoscopic technology is indispensable; Tridelity has proven to be a pioneer and quality provider with regard to this technology. “3D displays requiring glasses will not be applied for Digital Signage as passers-by will not wear special 3D glasses also in the future. However, the products of Tridelity GmbH are able to reach all passers-by and will hence revolutionise the Digital Signage market”, explains Russo.

For the first time in Poland, in Warsaw for ITI group and N-the new generation television, the Tridelity 3D monitor was used to promote a nonprofit campaign "Mowimyobrazami.pl", which is promoting child's creativity through drawing. To do this Animade, a Polish company that produces 3D content for Tridelity monitors, is giving out Crayons and specially created coloring books that enhances creativity. The 3D monitor was placed between 2,5 meter long paper walls that children could draw on. The paper was replaced when it was filled. From 10 am until 8 pm our tent was visited by hundreds of children. During this time 3D animations were played so that children as well as their parents could watch while waiting for prizes to be given out. The 3D monitor was warmly welcomed and nicely fitted into the whole scene.

Tridelity proudly presents its 57” 3D Display MV5700 at GITEX fair Dubai

At this year´s statewide contest "CyberOne", TRIDELITY Display Solutions GmbH reached the excellent sixth place among more than 50 new ventures in Baden-Württemberg. The contest is addressed to innovative start-up companies focussed on the high-tech industrial sector. It shows business trends of innovative business concepts and is the most important technology award within the strongest economic region of Germany.
The award ceremony took place in the Apollo theatre in Stuttgart on May, 15th 2007 combined with the 10th anniversary celebration of the technology network "Baden-Württemberg:Connected" (bwcon). The patron of the contest, prime minister Günther H. Oettinger and the director of bwcon, Mr. Klaus-Dieter Laidig honored the laureates together with more than 1200 invited guests of economy, science and politics.
